Our 2019 Bead Arts Market was a success! We had 18 member-artists that filled the Anchorage Museum atrium to sell handmade beaded art. In case you missed it, here is one of our promotional videos.
For over 20 years, the Alaska Bead Society has cultivated a space for beaders in the Anchorage area. It started with a group of creatives who envisioned a bead-focused organization, and now ABS holds workshops, monthly meetings, and educational presentations on beads. ABS meets monthly September through May - similar to the school year. Locals understand that in Alaska, we spend time fishing, camping, and enjoying our short summer - but don’t worry, we usually have a fun Summer Beading Challenge to keep you beading. The official membership year runs June 1 to May 31.
Our monthly meetings are open to the public, and anyone is welcome to attend! Membership is $40, and includes:
